Cheap, cheap, cheap
We bought this after debating spending the extra money on a puj tub. I just couldn't bring my self to spend the extra amount, so when I saw this version at Babies R Us, I picked it up.
We introduced it about about 2 weeks of age, and it lasted until about 3 months of age, maybe less. The foam was not sturdy at all, we quit using it when he hit about 13 pounds because the sides would cave in if he moved around at all. More often than not, it would give in, and he would be wedged inside of it in the bottom of the sink.
The foam is really flimsy, and gets gouges/scratches easily. The velcro started coming unsown.
Pros: It's cheap.
Cons: It's cheap.
Invest your money in the puj tub if you want this style.

Not safe, hard to deal with
Okay. Reasons I bought this tub and why none of them worked out:
1. At the time we lived in an apartment, so since it has velcro and can be flat, I thought it would store easily. It really doesn't. It kinda retains its shape anyway, and takes up the space.
2. I thought it would hold the baby's weight. It doesn't. It's sides are too flimsy and you have to CONSTANTLY be watching and supporting your baby. I tried it in the tub, I had to basically hold the baby tub between my legs to keep him from slipping into the water. The fact that it is so flimsy means if the baby so much as MOVES he gets water in his ears, even if the level of water is perfect.
3. I thought it would protect him from the sides of the sink when using the sink to bathe him. It doesn't. This is because it doesn't FIT in any sink I have had. This includes bathrooms and kitchen, at two houses. All different types of sinks. So, even if you can manage to prop it up in the sink you have, since the sides...
Floats, really?!
This product floats, so if you plan to fill up the sink with any water, you may have a problem with this slipping and sliding under your baby as it attempts to float! This may be less of a problem if you plan to just rinse your baby without any sitting water. But, I had hoped to use this for soaking baby in oatmeal bath for his excema. It doesn't fit securely in my sink either, and will slide around just from the weight of my 13.5 lbs three month old. You basicallly have to use both hands, one to keep baby steady and one to hold the product in place... that may work, if only I had a third hand to actually wash the baby, haha! I am considering holding on to this. I think it *may* come in useful for when the baby is older and able to sit upright without tipping over, but yet still a little too young for the big bathtub. It does provide a little bit of a cushion making a sink bath more comfy. But, I'm still questioning if a bigger baby will be heavy enough to keep the item from...
